As an ex-lawyer, Simon is a natural strategist.  He’s passionate about enabling people to define what real success looks like and shaping a workable plan to get there.

With 15 years of experience in the sustainability field, Simon recognises the need to work in systems – which means leveraging the impact of value chains, industries and other networks. He recommends working collaboratively with meaningful engagement to build understanding and capability, so the right things get done in the right way.

Simon is a certified Future-Fit Business associate, accredited Natural Step Advisor, and ISSP Certified Sustainability Professional. He also has sat on a number of NGO boards locally and internationally, including the local Mountain Bike Club on Waiheke where he has lived for the last 18 years.

When he has the time, you’ll find Simon with his friends or children playing golf, mountain biking, fly fishing or tramping favourite spots in Te Urewera.

Things you should know about Simon:

  • He took a garden leave to a whole new level when he set up a landscaping business after moving on from his 10-year legal career.

  • He’s always keen to turn a workshop into a party, in the interests of more effective stakeholder engagement.
