Roger is driven by a big question: what does it mean to live as though the wellbeing of future generations truly matters? He’s the Founder of Future-Fit Aotearoa New Zealand, a chapter of the global Future-Fit Business initiative that translates 30+ years of systems science into practical, free tools to help businesses make real progress toward a flourishing future for all.

 

Prior to sustainability consultancy, Roger was Chief Sustainability Officer at the Bioeconomy Science Institute, New Zealand's centre of excellence for science supporting farming, horticulture, forestry, and fishing while protecting nature. He holds a PhD in plant science, he’s an Accredited Future-Fit Advisor, a certified Planetary Accounting Practitioner and an Integrated Reporting Practitioner, and he sits on the sustainability Sub-Board of Tech New Zealand.

• Roger runs a regenerative smallholding in North Canterbury with his wife and their whippet Ciwynn.

• He’s got an electric tractor called Lottie and used it to make New Zealand's first fully electric hay in 2026. 650 bales of it!
